What is IASTM?
IASTM stands for Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. It is a technique used in physical therapy, chiropractic care, and sports medicine to effectively treat conditions related to soft tissue injuries and chronic pain.
This technique involves using specialized instruments, such as stainless steel tools, that have unique edges and surfaces to apply pressure and effectively treat soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The pressure applied by these instruments mobilizes the tissues, breaking up adhesions and scar tissues and promoting healing and optimal function.
